First, let's start with my hair. This is my natural color -- look near the hair line and at the roots. Yes, that's fairly color accurate.
And this, is what my hair looks like now, after dyeing it red:
As you see, it only dyed the areas that were virgin hair. And this, kids, is why you want to lift your old dye before you put in new dye. The look is actually starting to grow on me, though. The color is Ion Color Brilliance in Dark Intense Red Blonde 6IR-66.66, used with Ion Color Brilliance Creme Developer. I used a 1:1.5 ratio of color to developer and processed for an hour, though you're really supposed to use 1:1 and process for up to 45 minutes... but I know from experience my hair doesn't take color well, and requires a bit of extra coaxing.
Also, I am still in love with my nail color:
You can see some tipwear, but that's to be expected after a day at the beach. plus this manicure has been going on 4 days now. I do put on a new coat of top coat though, whenever it starts looking dull. My nails currently hate me after a week of polish remover abuse, so I think I'll probably keep this for a while.
Also, toes!
I LOVE this 89 cent polish. (I'm currently into bright creme shades.) It's Surf's Up by Sally Girl. Two coats over 1 coat of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails for a base, plus Poshe top coat. It is my personal belief that all manner of horrible nail polish formulations can be remedied or at least compensated for with a good top coat.
Also! I mentioned I had been busy cleaning my room lately, right? Well, here's a "before" shot of my room:
(Okay, technically, that's a "during cleaning" shot, but I assure you, my room wasn't much better.)
Here's an "after" shot:
Quelle difference!
I found some absolutely incredible things during this massive clean-up project. For example, this thing:
I defy any of you to find a more hideous sweater vest on the face of this planet.
Alright, enough rambling. Here's a random FOTD for good measure:
God, I love those Guerlain kohls. The end!

Hi May. Aw..you think 99% of asians look bad with colored contacts..boo..I must disagree! hehe, plus..I think you would look sooo cool with colored contacts..u should try it sometime. anyhoo...i like ur nail color..it reminds me of the color of the cherries i've been eating lately. ooh, and i really love ur toe color!!! reminds me of the beach, hehe. wow..ur room is soooo messy, like a tornadoe hit, but it looks a lot cleaner now. (: ok bye.
Like the new hair color...and the pikachu! :3
Banana - I've tried wearing colored contacts before, purple ones. Hated the way they looked on me because they didn't have any real depth to them, and you could see the color splotches from the dot matrix printing pattern.
Purple was relatively subtle, but it's more way obvious with blue and green colored contacts - the kinda dead-blank look it gives your eyes. That's why I refuse to wear colored contacts :)
I totally agree w/you about the contacts. The only contacts I ever found decent were the Solatica Hydrocharmes and those cost a hundred bucks to buy and ship to the US. Having done a lot of face drawings in my time and thus having drawn and painted a lot of eyes, it bothers me the way the surface of the lenses reflects light.
I didn't mean to ramble about contacts LOL. I was cracking up about the sweater-vest. Looks like something my mom would make me wear.
Your bedroom looks great!! I really need to clean our place D:
I dunno... I have some doozies that may one up your sweater vest.
Ask me a year ago and I would've disagreed, but I have since developed a distaste for circle and colored contacts. 1) My eyes are big enough, goddamnit. 2) I look like a dead fish with green eyes.
the new colour looks rly good on you though. :D btw a very sweet blog <3
xoxo
wow, that is in fact quite the most hideous sweater vest thing I have ever seen, I didn't know they made them that ugly! LOL!
Hmm I just got a 40 developer and a color today. I thought that would strip the hair of my old color. How do I strip off the old color ?
Holy shit. I think I died laughing twice while reading your blog. I'm putting it on my favorites for days when I need a smile. :)
